Carving
in the mountainous artistic community of Ojai, CA, Martin Weiner
creates sensuous abstract pieces that eminate healing and meditative
power. Trained as a healer many years ago by the visionary genius
Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, Martin invokes the intuitive sensitivity
of his healing hands when bringing form to life in a variety
of stones including marble, alabaster, soapstone, and limestone.
When looking at his sculptures, people express being drawn to
touch them "as if pulled by a magnetic field." Line
and form merge, creating a continuous flow of energy that vibrates
with an essential quality of life. In creating commissioned
pieces, Martin works with his client to develop a sculpture
that is especially meaningful to them; one that will permeate
their personal environment with supportive, nurturing energy. |
